The Mayes Emergency Service trust Authority is the ambulance
provider licensed by the State of Oklahoma as a Basic Level
service for Mayes County, Oklahoma.  M.E.S.T.A. was officially
incorporated on January 21, 1986 by a group of citizens that
wished to improve pre-hospital emergency healthcare for the
citizens of Mayes County.  Currently, the ambulance trust has
eleven board members that are appointed by Mayes County
Commissioners and by the governing bodies of the towns of
Mayes County.  M.E.S.T.A. also has an Executive Director that
oversees the management of the ambulance service.  Since
1986, the service has grown to over 35 employees that handle
over 3,500 calls for service each year we run 4 trucks in the
county out of 3 stations Pryor (Central), Locust Grove (St 3),
and Adair (St 4).
